ในบทความนี้เราจะมาพูดถึงความหมายของตราสารหนี้และหุ้นกัน มาดูกันว่าสองอย่างนี้มันเป็นการ Trading ที่มีจุดต่างกันอย่างไร มีความเสี่ยงอะไร และมันจะสร้างผลตอบแทนให้กับเราได้อย่างไร ตราสารหนี้ vs. หุ้น ข้อแตกต่าง การ Trading ในหุ้นเป็นการลงทุนที่จะทำให้คุณได้รับส่วนแบ่งการเป็นเจ้าของในบริษัท ซึ่งจะมากหรือน้อยก็ขึ้นอยู่กับสัดส่วนหุ้นที่คุณถือ ในขณะที่ตราสารหนี้ถือเป็นการลงทุนที่คุณเอาเงินของคุณไปให้บริษัทได้ทำการกู้ยืม โดยผลตอบแทนที่คุณจะได้รับจะเป็นดอกเบี้ยนั่นเอง ข้อแตกต่างที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของการลงทุนทั้งสองอย่างนี้ก็คงจะเป็นเรื่องของผลตอบแทน โดยที่หุ้นจะสร้างผลตอบแทนให้คุณมากขึ้นเมื่อเวลาผ่านนานไปหากราคาของหุ้นนั้นเพิ่มสูงขึ้น ส่วนสิ่งที่ได้จากตราสารหนี้ก็คือดอกเบี้ยที่บริษัทจะจ่ายคืนให้คุณในอัตราคงที่ตามระยะเวลาที่ถูกกำหนดขึ้นในสัญญา หุ้น หุ้นเป็นตราสารที่ผู้ซื้อจะมีฐานะเป็นเจ้าของร่วมกับเจ้าของบริษัท โดยที่เราจะเป็นเจ้าของบริษัทแค่บางส่วนเท่ากับจำนวนหุ้นที่เราถืออยู่เท่านั้น ยกตัวอย่างก็เหมือนกับการที่เพื่อนของเรามาชวนไปเป็นหุ้นส่วนในการเปิดร้านอาหาร ถ้าเราตัดสินใจลงทุนด้วยก็เหมือนเราเป็นเจ้าของร้านอาหารนี้ด้วย เราก็ให้เพื่อนบริหารร้านไปเรื่อยๆ โดยเราอาจจะคอยติดตามว่าเพื่อนบริหารดีมีกำไร กิจการเติบโตไหม เราก็อาจจะลองไปนั่งที่ร้านดูว่าลูกค้าเยอะไหม พนักงานบริการดีหรือเปล่า จากนั้นเพื่อนของเราก็มีหน้าที่ต้องเอางบการเงินของร้านอาหารมาให้เราดู ในส่วนนี้บริษัทในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ฯ จะต้องส่งงบการเงินให้นักลงทุนอย่างเราดูทุกๆ ไตรมาส ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้เรารู้ว่าร้านอาหารมียอดขายเพิ่มไหม กำไรเพิ่มหรือเปล่า จากนั้นเมื่อทำธุรกิจจนได้กำไร หน้าที่อีกอย่างของเพื่อนของเราก็คือต้องจ่ายเงินปันผลให้ด้วย สำหรับการ Trading ในหุ้นนี้ ผลตอบแทนนอกจากเงินปันผลแล้วเราอาจจะเอาหุ้นที่เราถืออยู่ไปขายต่อให้คนอื่นก็ได้...
